The Setup

Built to pull great shots.

Every piece of equipment chosen for one reason: to make the coffee taste exactly as the roaster intended.

Espresso Machine
Slayer
Steam · 2-Group · Signature Teal

Hand-built in Seattle, the Slayer Steam is the benchmark for espresso quality. Variable pre-infusion pressure lets our baristas coax every nuance from each coffee. Ours is in Slayer's signature teal — one of their most iconic colorways.

Espresso Grinder
Mahlkönig
GBW 65 — Grind by Weight

The GBW 65 doses by weight, not time — delivering exact, consistent grounds for every shot. Paired with the Slayer Steam, it eliminates the single biggest variable in espresso: the dose.

Batch Brew Grinder
Mahlkönig
EK 43

The EK 43 is the gold standard for filter coffee grinding. Uniform particle size, minimal heat, exceptional clarity in the cup. Used for our batched drip program via the Curtis Gem brewer.

Drip Coffee
Curtis
Gem Brewer

The Curtis Gem is purpose-built for precision batch brewing. Consistent water temperature and saturation means every cup of drip reflects the same care as our espresso program.

Cold Program
Cold Brew
+ Nitro on Tap

Our Group Ride blend and single origin coffees are available as cold brew and nitro — slow-steeped, nitrogen-charged, and served straight from the tap. Both the blend and current single origin rotate.

Milk
Oatly
Barista Edition — Default

Oatly Barista is our default milk across every drink. It steams beautifully, complements the Group Ride blend without overpowering it, and reflects our values. Whole milk available on request.

The Space

A place to stay.
Plan the next ride.

▶
150" Cycling Screen

Our projector throws a 150-inch screen of cycling content — race broadcasts, documentaries, and footage of riders tackling the hardest challenges they've ever faced. From grand tour stages to hundred-mile gravel epics. Always on, always worth watching.

♬
Music, Always

Carefully curated music playing throughout the day — something that matches the energy of whatever's on screen. From calm morning focus to pre-ride hype. It sets the tone without demanding your attention.

Our Story

Built from years of
passion for this place.

Century Café was born from a deep love of cycling and an even deeper love of McMinnville. After years of serving the cycling community through Tommy's Bicycle Shop and Mac Bike Rentals, we knew McMinnville deserved a café that felt like the community it comes from — one that opens early, serves exceptional coffee, and celebrates the rides, the roads, and the people who make this place worth returning to. This café is our way of saying thank you.

From the ownership

Built with
love for this place.

Century Café is the vision of Eric Ladouceur — founder and concept — brought to life with an extraordinary level of trust from his longtime business partner, Matthew Roth. Together, they have built a true gem for cycling and coffee fans in McMinnville. Century Café didn't appear overnight. It was built trade by trade, decision by decision, by people who took pride in their work. After years of serving McMinnville's cycling community through Tommy's Bicycle Shop, Mac Bike Rentals, and Tommy's Bicycle Repair — this café is our way of saying thank you to a community that has touched our hearts. Every name on this page is part of that story.
